Adriana Dwan
Founder
Hey there! I'm Adriana, a cooking instructor based in Colorado. I'm all about crafting tasty, plant-based meals that are as good for you as they are for the planet. I’d love to show you how eating healthy can be exciting and delicious.
My journey to a plant-based lifestyle began 25 years ago when I learned about the realities of animal farming. This discovery prompted me to switch to a plant-centered diet, a change I have never regretted. I have since learned how to make my own condiments, dressings, burgers, and more. These are the skills and recipes I want to share with you so that you can also experience the benefits of a whole food plant-based diet.
Through Rooted Cookery, I aim to show that plant-based meals can be nutritious, delicious, and practical for everyday life. Food is my passion, and I believe that every meal is a chance to nourish our bodies and have a little fun along the way.
I've honed my skills through training at Rouxbe Online Culinary School, specializing in plant-based cooking. I’m also certified in plant-based nutrition with eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
Here are some fun facts about me:
Growing up in a hispanic household, I ate beans and rice on the regular and to this day it’s still my favorite comfort food.
I read 20 books last year!
Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love dressing up with my family.
